In 2011, the Herbert C. Hoover Building, Washington, DC, sustained damage to cultural and historically significant finishes and artifacts during the Mineral, Virginia earthquake. Edifice provided Design | Build Services to the US Department of Commerce (DOC) to replace/repair damaged mission tiles, decorative plaster, painted canvases, and cracks and leaks in the penthouse roof. The project was completed in a historically and culturally sensitive manner, following federal guidelines.
