Contract Award Expands Opportunities In Dahlgren & Surrounding Region

Edifice Solutions was recently selected as one of the six U.S. companies to serve the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington under a Small Business Multiple Award Construction Contract (SB MACC) for the Blue IPT area of responsibility.  Edifice will provide construction services to support the NAVFAC facilities within the region, including NSA South Potomac, NAS Patuxent River and NSA Annapolis.

The Edifice team has significant experience working with NAVFAC Washington and looks forward to continued success in the delivery of Specialty Design+Build Mission Support.   To kick-off the firm’s expansion into the Dahlgren area, Edifice hosted an open-house to connect with local subcontractors and vendors.  Dan Mead, Edifice’s Director of Estimating commented after the event:

Inc. Magazine recently unveiled it’s 35th Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000. Lisa London, Aia Joins Keynote Panel For University Of Maryland School Of Architecture Symposium

The University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation welcomed a distinguished panel for their recent symposium, “Women Leading Architecture.” This 2-day event focused on the stories of contemporary women leaders in the architecture profession, and featured five accomplished female leaders in the profession. Edifice CEO, Lisa London, was honored to be a part of the keynote panel to discuss their shared experiences and important moments which guided each of them towards leadership positions in both the profession and the community.

A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Architecture, Lisa London is a licensed architect with more than twenty-eight years of cross-disciplinary experience in sustainable design, new construction, renovation and historic preservation. Lisa founded Edifice, a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) firm in 2006 to provide sustainable Design+Build and construction services in support of mission-critical work for clients in the Federal sector. Under her leadership, Edifice performs Design+Build for more than 26 Federal agencies in the civilian, defense and intelligence arenas.
